J. Daniel Douglass, Licensed Real Estate Broker, works as the ultimate team player representing Landlords, Property Owners, Tenants or Buyers in Commercial Real Estate Transactions. His focus is on the “Best Interest” of the client and getting deals done. In 1986, a good friend of Dan’s called to see if Dan could represent the friends company in the purchase of real estate. That was unique for the time since the concept of a Buyer’s Agent was still in its infancy. After obtaining permission from his broker to do so, Dan did act as that Buyer’s Agent and that very relationship has continued forward to the present day.
Dan Douglass has been in the real estate business since 1976 when he purchased his first rental property after graduating from the University of Florida. He owned and operated several businesses for the next eight years, when in 1984, he earned his Florida Real Estate Salesman’s License and went to work for Coldwell Banker. In 1986, he went to work for Hackney Properties, Inc. in Sales and Property Management. In 1988, he earned his Florida Real Estate Broker’s License and when Charlie Hackney announced that he was running for Manatee County Property Appraiser, Dan went out on his own and has been ever since.
Dan has owned, managed or been involved in the disposition of hundreds of properties over the years and to this day, he still advises and/or represents property owners, landlords, tenants and buyers on such tasks as acquisition, sales, leasing and management. The majority of Dan’s business is Tenant and Buyer Representation but he does represent investors, Landlords and property owners as well. He believes that there is no substitute for hard work and dedication and his primary goal is customer satisfaction. Dan understands that relationships are built on mutual trust and the process is an ongoing endeavor!
